Handwriting and Presentation at St Bernadette's

At St Bernadette's children's handwriting and the presentation of their work is very important from the youngest children in our Nursery to the oldest in Year 6.

We have adopted a cursive handwriting style and use www.letterjoin.co.uk to support the teaching of handwriting across the school.

• There are teacher led weekly handwriting sessions. from Nursery to Year 6.
• Pupils practise their handwriting in Guided Group Reading (GGR) sessions focusing on the weekly handwriting activities and spellings.
• All completed schoolwork and homework use the new handwriting style.
• Teachers mark and reinforce the handwriting in school books.
