On the 25th Year 6 went to Cardiff Castle with Mr Bean, Miss Tierney and Mrs Scotcher. At 9:15 the bus left and everyone was practising there songs for there assembly. We got there and it was really windy we waited for a lady to teach wartime songs like Hey little Hen and we'll meet again. It turned out those songs were really popular In WWII because of the positive lyrics like in we'll meet again it is saying that we will see each other don't know when but I know it will be on a sunny day this really means a lot because loved ones had to fight and were sent away so this song was very uplifting. Then we went into the Air raid shelters and heard Chamberlain say war is declared. Afterwards some of the year 6 had a race to a gas mask in 10 seconds all of them won. The man talked about all the allies and axis. Our favourite part was when we had a race girls against boys to put out the fire first. It was pretend fire it was actually water, we had to get all the water from one bucket to another using a equipment in those days. Then we left Cardiff Castle with lots of new knowledge.
