About the Parish of St Philip Evans
The parish of St Philip Evans is a welcoming Catholic community, empowered by the Holy Spirit,
worshipping and serving God.
We meet as a spiritual family to deepen our faith and our knowledge of one another. Within our parish area,
we care for those in need and spread the message of Christ.
In January 2023 Fr Laurence Bryce was appointed as priest-in-charge of our parish . Deacon Steve Melhuish,
exercises the ministry of Deacon within the parish.
The parish, which is part of the Archdiocese of Cardiff, serves the areas of Llanedeyrn, Pentwyn and Pontprennau, and
also the new housing being developed since 2017 in St Edeyrn's Village.
There are two Primary Schools within the parish (St Bernadette's and St Philip Evans)
and the parish also has close links with Corpus Christi High School, which is just beyond the parish boundary.
